Evidence levels
- Desk research: manufacturer documentation, manuals, public specifications, and current retailer/source checks.
- Comparative analysis: side-by-side criteria, documented trade-offs, and clearly dated source snapshots.
- Hands-on testing: only when the article records the setup, equipment, date, test method, observations, and limitations.
Review boundaries
Scores, recommendations, and product claims should not be published until the relevant product set, market, safety constraints, and evidence target are approved.
Corrections and updates
Pages should be updated when product specifications, availability, evidence, or safety guidance changes. Older claims should be dated or replaced rather than silently stretched beyond their evidence.
